Band (and Concert) News - 11 April 2016

The final rehearsal before concert day on Saturday, Bob was back at the helm. Several Star of the Evening nominations were received this evening. Bob himself was nominated for his Double D double entendre during The Hebrides Suite, whilst the cornet section were strong contenders for the giggling fit which ensued. The percussion section, featuring new member Colin, were impressive and the trombones received their third nomination in just a few short weeks. But with some trepidation - due to the fact that just about everyone who has received the award recently has missed the next session - the award this week goes to Freya, Kim and Mia of Treol Music, who joined us at the start of the evening for a stirring rendition of The Gael. Please come back on Saturday girls!

P.S. Potential audients for Saturday, please come to the side door of Bristo Baptist Church, ie the Dean Path entrance. Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
