Band News - 23 September 2019

Our concert on Saturday at Bristo Baptist Church will be a celebration of music through the ages, featuring music from the swing era, film music from Ennio Morricone and John Williams and tunes from The Beatles and ABBA.

So who was Star of the Evening at the last rehearsal before the concert? The trumpets, featuring new member Joshua, finally remembered the rhythms in Swing's the Thing. Meanwhile, the saxes managed to play all the right notes - now and again 😉

Once again Bill G was in the running with silky trombone skills in The Beatles. But tonight's award goes to fabulous flute player Marc for a stunning rendition of the Penny Lane piccolo trumpet solo - on piccolo, yay!

Come and hear Marc - and all our Stars - on Saturday, 7pm at Bristo Baptist Church. Tickets still only £5, available on the door.
