Tonight we turned things around in a big way, with everything set up in concert formation. And we had the biggest band ever, which included new French horn player Richard - welcome to the band Richard!


As always, tonight's Star of the Evening award was hotly contested. In the food category, Peter's 'bake-off' special shortbread just edged out David's birthday cake (happy bday David).


The plug was pulled on the conducting category when Bob's instructions for Barker's Christmas Suite included what to do between two movements, and to ignore any runs ;-)


But in the end there could be only one winner. The percussion section drummed up an excellent performance, with James a knockout on kit, George a thundering triumph on the new band timpani ...
