Band News - 27 July 2015

... and after our short break for summer, rehearsals resumed tonight with some new music and a fairly healthy turnout. The performance of the Gilbert and Sullivan medley was interesting ... especially the vocal rendition of the muppet version going on in the background (see the original at www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueuA-9pqRok). The film score music for 'How to train your dragon' and 'Hook' went well, although Gb concert made a few people wish they played drums.

Stars of the evening? Our young cornet boys, David and Jamie, for their wonderful duet in 'The lost chord' ... after they finished arguing about who would play the solo (smiles).
