Band (and Concert) News -29 August 2016

With just under 2 weeks to go before our In Full Swing concert, the trombone section was back to full strength with Bill G returning after festival duties. Jim, sporting a very cool music tie, starred once again on solo tuba :-) Naomi on solo flute nailed the 'plips' in Alan Fernie's Singing in the Rain, whilst the saxes contributed a few plops. But even the saxes were outdone by the stunning performance of tonight's Star of the Evening, young jazz singer Hilary, singing the Ella chart of A Tisket A Tasket. Great work Hilary, well done!

And if you would like to see Hilary starring with the band, tickets for the concert at Bristo Baptist Church on Saturday 10 September will be available on the door for £5 / £3 concession.

Hope to see you there!
