Band News - 29 June 2015

Another good rehearsal tonight ... after the first 20 minutes, during which the euphoria carried over from Saturday's concert led to multiple instances of brain freeze, with entries, key signatures, time signatures and bars' rest being forgotten. Except, of course, by the sax section ;-)

Star of the evening? Our wonderful conductor Bob has to be commended for his seemingly-endless patience in such challenging circumstances. However tonight's award goes to new flute recruit Naomi, not only for impressive sight reading and playing on her debut but for her modest comment, "I was expecting to be really bad but was just bad."
