With concerts coming up on Monday 25 Sept (joint concert with Rockhampton Grammar School Big Band, all the way from Australia) and Saturday 7 October (Grand Tour, featuring music from various places), tonight's rehearsal was intense and focused. Mostly ...


First to stake a Star of the Evening claim was tenor sax player Alex, for his impromptu solo during the break in 'The Saltire'. Not to be outdone, alto sax player Doig spent almost an entire piece checking his sax, before playing a neat little run. Just after everyone else had finished.


But the percussion section drummed up a storm at the end of the evening in 'The Cumbancheros' to take tonight's prize. Well done Dominic and James!
